![]() I’ve still been interested in playing it and I recently saw it cheap so I picked it up. Even when I was going to get it a few years ago some dude in the store even told me it sucked so I put it back. Regardless, when I heard of the reboot back in 2010 I always planned on picking it up but bad reviews kept me away. I’m going to guess this is a series with a cult following. It is also one of the few games in the series to receive a North American release, making it a rare gem for fans of the series.I know I’ve played the original Splatterhouse at some point but never enough to form an opinion and from what I hear the original games were extremely violent for their time and fun. Splatterhouse 3 is widely considered to be the best game in the series, and is praised for its challenging gameplay, intense action, and dark atmosphere. The game is significantly more difficult than its predecessors, and features a number of boss battles, as well as puzzles that must be solved in order to progress. The mask also grants Rick the ability to transform into various creatures, each with their own unique abilities, which he can use to his advantage in battle. The game is a 2D side-scroller, and gameplay revolves around Rick fighting his way through hordes of enemies, using the mask's power to defeat them. Now, with the power of the mask, Rick must travel to the demon's lair and put an end to the Splatterhouse once and for all. ![]() The game follows Rick Taylor, who, after being mortally wounded by the demon Splatterhouse, is brought back to life by the mysterious mask of Splatterhouse.
